Aundyr Brian Stowell returns for 2021 to reward creativity in Manx
Pobble invites adults and young people under 18 years to submit creative language projects for consideration for an Aundyr Brian Stowell. This year we have introduced a special category prize for children and young people to encourage younger creative people to enter.
Judges will award a first prize of £300, a second of £200, and two prizes of £25 for entries from children and young people under 18 years. An entry could be a poem, a story, a drama, a film, an audio recording, or a visual or musical piece with Manx text, or, for example, an article about the Manx language and history, a translation, a digital app, augmented reality, or a website service. The following criteria will guide the judges:
- Quality of the Manx Gaelic
- Originality
- Artistic Quality
- Effort
- Skill
- Presentation
There is no entry fee, and competitors are free to submit as many entries as they wish. Entries should be sent, preferably electronically, to post@pobble.im or posted to Pobble, 9 High Street, Port St Mary, Isle of Man, IM9 5DP.
The closing date for entries is Thursday 30th September 2021. Winners will be announced, and the prizes awarded during the Cooish 4th – 7th November 2021.
